Clematis 'Belle of
Woking'
Clematis 'Belle of Woking has silver lilac fully double flowers in May and June and again at the end of the summer (sometimes flowers less double 2nd time around) Raised by Jackman in 1875 by crossing C. 'Candida' (a C.lanuliginosa hybrid) and C.fortunii. Needs plenty of support for the heavy flowers but will grow in sun or shade. Light prune in the winter, stems can be reduced after first flowering at which time feed and water to get a good second show. |
