Clematis 'Star of India' has large red purple flowers with a bold red stripe July to September, Hard prune in spring for best results. This variety takes time to produce a multi-stemmed plant. But will grow in any aspect.
Raised by Cripps & son in 1867 it has an A.G.M. and is the result of a cross between C. lanuliginosa and C. 'Jackmanii'
