Lonicera etrusca 'Superba'

This vigorous semi-evergreen climber has downy stems and leaves which enables it to cope with heat better than other Honeysuckles. The flowers appear at the shoot ends and  side shoots off them, they are cream yellow tinged pink they are highly fragrant even during the heat of the day and start usually in July and continue to September. Introduced from the Med. region around 1750 Lonicera etrusca 'Superba is one of several selected seed forms of this fine honeysuckle. reliable flowerer and highly scented. Along with 'Elliot' it is the better coice from the named selections of L. etrusca
