Lonicera sempervirens 'Cedar Lane'This is an evergreen to semi-evergreen climber which really needs a warm garden (or a wall in cold areas) to succeed in Britain, a smaller plant than the species, and good value in small gardens. The unscented flowers are long tubed and red, and borne over a long season (April to September) set against a smoky gray green foliage which is longer and thinner in shape to the species, I have found part sun to full sun in good light and soil that does not dry right out to work best. In the right place this is a cracking plant. But it is a difficult plant to grow in the UK |
