Macfadyena unguis-cati
I have seen this plant growing in the Caribbean so it might surprise some to hear it also survives outdoors here in Cornwall. (min -3c) However the difference in light levels and warmth mean it does not flower readily unless grown under glass. It is a very vigorous evergreen climber which attaches to its support by tendrils each of which have three claw like hooks at the end. The flowers which appear in summer are bright yellow and trumpet shaped.
