Mitraria coccinea


This lovely evergreen scandent shrub is best grown as a climber on walls where it will bear its orange red flowers for many months during summer. Hardy down to around -10c it does not like Alkaline soils but is unfussy as to the amount of sun it receives.

Originally from Chile and introduced to the UK in around 1848
