Mutisia clematis

This evergreen tendril climber has pinnate leaves and grows quickly, the flower buds are large but open to small daisy flowers at one end of the bud, these are bright pink, as the plant sets seed, huge dandelion clocks are formed. Far and away the easiest Mutisia to grow (they can be tricky) Comes from the high Andes of Columbia and Ecuador, and was introduced in 1859. Mutisia's like a well drained soil in a sunny position and once established will tolerate drought. So quick from seed or cuttings this Mutisia can be grown as an annual. (min 0c)
