Pandorea pandorana

Pandorea pandorana is sometimes called the "Wonga wonga vine" in Australia where it comes from. It is a large vigorous and evergreen twiner. Hardy only in the milder west where it does well on warm walls and can look stunning grown with Wisteria. It flowers early, typically April and May, it is this early flowering habit which makes its use outdoors a bit tricky without that elusive warm wall, it also makes it a worthwhile conservatory subject (as it does well in pots) The flowers which are in large bunches are cream white, with pinky red markings in the throat, lightly scented. Grown inside it flowers slightly earlier typically March/April. (min -4c)
