Pandorea pandorana

Sometimes called the "Wonga wonga vine" it hails from Australia and is a large vigorous evergreen twiner. Hardy only in the milder west, it flowers early, typically March and April it is this early flowering habit which makes its use outdoors a bit tricky, it also makes it a worthwhile conservatory subject (as it does well in pots) The flowers which are in large bunches are cream white, with pinky red markings in the throat. Grown outside it flowers slightly later and looks stunning with Wisteria. (min -4c)
