Passiflora matthewsii albaA rare evergreen climber, which uses tendrils to cling to its host. The large white flowers hang on long petioles in late summer. Warm wall protection is best if growing this outside, it is of about the same hardiness as P. mollisima and in all but the mildest gardens is probably best under glass. The plant seen in late November at Tregrehan in Cornwall on a south facing wall was spectacular and had been there some years |
