Podranea ricasoliana

The large pink/purple flowers are carried in big trusses at the end of the summer on through winter. This plant will take cold but like Campsis it needs sun and heat to flower (min -10c). In the cooler West of the UK it may need starting under glass unless a really hot wall is available. It came originally from Southern Africa and is widely grown on the Balearic and Atlantic islands.
