Rhodochiton atrosanguinea

From Mexico this unusual climber is a perennial best grown as an annual, it's easy to raise from seed and hard to over winter (it dislikes wet and damp, min -2c) The flowers are a mixture of wine red bracts and deep purple black tubes hanging from them. A really useful climber for summer use, when it will reach 10'; and be in flower continuously all season.
