This herbaceous twiner has handsome leaves and bunches of small brown purple flowers which in their turn become long pods, in Autumn these split open to reveal the silky seeds within, an ideal plant for a quick cover of unsightly objects! In winter Vincetoxicum scandens will die back to the ground.
