EVENTS FOR 2023Clematis "Lasurstern"
(Plant sale dates below)

In addition to the regular Tuesday & Wednesday garden opens (1-5 PM April to July 31st ) and Charity Weekends for National Garden Scheme on  Saturday 2nd  July and Sunday 3rd  July 2022  

We are happy to do guided tours of the garden for groups and clubs, times by negotiation. (Group rate is £5.00 per head to include tea & cake)

We expect to be at the following venues. Details will be filled in as these are booked up.

12th March  South Moulton, Devon plant heritage plant fair 10am - 2pm

 19th  March The Bishop's Palace, Wells, Somerset 11.00am - 4.00pm  £5.00 per person entry Includes the Palace Gardens, Medieval walls and the natural springs which give the town its name      

1st April March Forde Abbey Plant Fair 10am - 4.00pm Web site

9th & 10th April Dorothy Clive garden Market Drayton TF9 4EU

16th April Mapperton Charity plant sale

16th April The Old Rectory, Quenington, Nr Cirencester 11.00am - 4.00pm          £5.00 per person                                      Includes the Gardens, which also contain much sculpture with river setting

 

23rd  April Spetchley Park Worcester Plant fair (wonderful walled gardens) Reduced admission price on plant sale day     

 
1st  May  Plant Heritage (NCCPG)  plant hunters fair Longstock gardens Hampshire 10am Beer tent, jazz band and catering on site. More details for garden and nursery 

13th MayYarlington House Nr Wincanton Somerset BA9 8DY 10-4pm Charity plant sale entry £2.50 includes garden  

 

22nd  May Kingston Bagpuize  Oxfordshire £5.00

TALKS

I can now offer Zoom talks to clubs if Clubs have someone who can run the meeting (it really needs someone who has a proper zoom account in order for the talk to be longer than 40 mins ) £45

We presently give talks with slides to clubs and societies on:-


"Clematis" - growing, pruning and using in the garden.
"Easy Clematis for hard places" - A look at the National collection of Clematis viticella and some other trouble free clematis
"Climbers" - Raise your expectations with some of the vast range of climbing plants available.

"Conservatories" - A guide to successful conservatory gardening plus a range of lovely plants to try.
"Madeira a gardeners view" - A look at this garden island as it is in Autumn.

"Height in the garden" - Lots of ideas for achieving that third dimension 
"Coastal California" - Gardens Plants and landscapes of California

"Northern Tenerife in Spring" - Some of the flora and landscapes of this Beautiful Island

"La Palma - The Beautiful Isle"

Talks run for between one and one and a half hours, depending on the audience's questions.

Devon is about as far as we can reach for a evenings talk without some overnight arrangement.
Charges at present £50 plus 75p per mile traveled for Devon and Cornwall.  We do bring plants for sale and would appreciate 2 tables to put them on not in the way of the screen.
