EVENTS FOR 2021Clematis "Lasurstern"
(Plant sale dates below)

In addition to the regular Tuesday & Wednesday garden opens (1-5 PM April to September 22nd ) and Charity Weekends for National Garden Scheme on  Saturday 22nd  June and Sunday 23rd  June 2019  

We are happy to do guided tours of the garden for groups and clubs, times by negotiation. (Group rate is 4.00 per head to include tea & cake)

PLANT SALES for 2021 Please check the web sites of the fairs for up to date information  as there are likely still going to be problems I will try and add links to the online booking systems when I know them

We expect to be at the following venues. Details will be filled in as these are booked up.

 21st March The Bishop's Palace, Wells, Somerset 11.00am - 4.00pm  5.00 per person entry Includes the Palace Gardens, Medieval walls and the natural springs which give the town its name      Cancelled

27th March Somerset HPS spring sale 10.00am -3.00pm at Milverton Recreation Ground, Butts Way, Milverton, Taunton TA4 1JR (this venue replaces East Lambrook manor for this year due to Covid restrictions) Cancelled

 


New date Sunday 16th May The Old Rectory, Quenington, Nr Cirencester 11.00am - 4.00pm          5.00 per person                                      Includes the Gardens, which also contain much sculpture with river setting

18th April Mapperton Charity plant sale Date under review

25th  April Spetchley Park Worcester Plant fair (wonderful walled gardens) Reduced admission price on plant sale day      Online booking essential

 

 
3rd  May Cancelled Plant Heritage (NCCPG)  plant hunters fair Longstock gardens Hampshire 10am Beer tent, jazz band and catering on site. More details for garden and nursery  Still to be confirmed

19th & 20th June 1pm - 5pm Garden open here at Roseland House in aid of St Julies Hospice

 

Cornwall HPS plant sale at Truro Cattle market new date 26th June  10 till 2pm, 25 plus nurseries, free entry masses of free parking, on site catering and toilets. 

   

3rd & 4th July 1pm - 5pm at Home Roseland House NGS garden open

 

 
   

Plant orders can be brought to the above venues for collection (saves the carriage charge)

TALKS

I can now offer Zoom talks to clubs if Clubs have someone who can run the meeting (it really needs someone who has a proper zoom account in order for the talk to be longer than 40 mins ) 45

We presently give talks with slides to clubs and societies on:-
"Clematis" - growing, pruning and using in the garden.
"Easy Clematis for hard places" - A look at the National collection of Clematis viticella and some other trouble free clematis
"Climbers" - Raise your expectations with some of the vast range of climbing plants available.

"Conservatories" - A guide to successful conservatory gardening plus a range of lovely plants to try.
"Madeira a gardeners view" - A look at this garden island as it is in Autumn.

"Height in the garden" - Lots of ideas for achieving that third dimension 
"Coastal California" - Gardens Plants and landscapes of California

"Northern Tenerife in Spring" - Some of the flora and landscapes of this Beautiful Island

"La Palma - The Beautiful Isle"

Talks run for between one and one and a half hours, depending on the audience's questions.

Devon is about as far as we can reach for a evenings talk without some overnight arrangement.
Charges at present 45 plus 45p per mile traveled for Devon and Cornwall.  We do bring plants for sale and would appreciate 2 tables to put them on not in the way of the screen. Beyond Devon talks are 45 Plus 45p per mile and depending on how far, overnight accommodation
