EVENTS FOR 2008Clematis "Lasurstern"
(Plant sale dates below)

In addition to the regular Tuesday & Wednesday garden opens (1-6 PM April to September) and Charity Sundays for National Garden Scheme on  Sunday 24th August and Monday 25th August 2008 (timed to catch the Clematis viticella collection in flower)

We are happy to do guided tours of the garden for groups and clubs, times by negotiation. (Group rate is £4.00 per head to include tea & cake)

TALKS

We presently give talks with slides to clubs and societies on:-
"Clematis" - growing, pruning and using in the garden.
"Easy Clematis for hard places" - A look at the National collection of Clematis viticella and some other trouble free clematis
"Climbers" - Raise your expectations with some of the vast range of climbing plants available.
"Maximum effect with Minimum effort" - How we manage this 1 acre garden on 1 man hour per week., definitely NOT a talk on low maintenance gardening, just a fresh look at some of the things we do and why. with lots of ideas to cut the chores.
"Conservatories" - A guide to successful conservatory gardening plus a range of lovely plants to try.
"Madeira a gardeners view" - A look at this garden island as it is in Autumn.
"The 3 Bills" - A talk about those garden favorites the Geraniums, Pelargoniums and Erodiums.

Talks run for between one and one and a half hours, depending on the audience's questions.

Devon is about as far as we can reach for a evenings talk without some overnight arrangement.
Charges at present £30 plus 30p per mile traveled for Devon and Cornwall. We do bring plants for sale and would appreciate 2 tables to put them on not in the way of the screen. Beyond Devon talks are £50 Plus 30p per mile and depending on how far overnight accommodation
