The Conservatory, added around 1840

Some plants stay in all year, like Lapageria "Flesh Pink" others like Pandorea Jasminoides "Rosea Superba" come in for winter but are out all summer( they could stay out but they will flower all 12 months if you move them in and out). Several tender Jasmines (J. azoricum and J. sambac) are among the many scented plants kept in for the pleasure of sitting amongst them. We do not heat, but the temperature seldom drops below 40 degrees F.
