The Conservatory appears to have been added to the house in 1842 when the house was Victorianised

Although it looks on the surface to be fine, it is starting to show its age.
Much of the wood is rotten and starting to part company from the house
The amount of slippage can clearly be seen
Once all the plants had been removed to somewhere safe, work started on taking down all the wood framing and the horrible Georgian wired glass roof panels
All that remained was the leaded walkway that gives access to the upstairs windows
New wood frames of tanalised timber go in, never thought my O level woodwork would come in handy!
Once the new window sashes were in place it started to feel like a conservatory again
001 All finished in good time for all the tender plants to return in time for winter
