Rosa
'Mermaid'
Often considered a
climbing rose classic with its large single scented pale yellow
flowers and lovely glossy leaves, it flowers for months but
should not be considered for exposed positions as I find it very
brittle, certainly a wall would suit it but beware the thorns
when tying in! It is a cross between the lovely species bracteata
and a china rose and is to the credit of William Paul who first
introduced it in 1918.
