Hedychium ellipticum

A perennial with broader leaves and fatter flower spike than other Hedychium, this is one of the best for foliage effect I have not found this easy to grow and flower, but the flower spikes are spectacular, choose a warm site (not necessarily sunny) to ensue flowering starts before winter, and mulch to protect the rhizomes in winter.
