Jasminum mesnyiSemi double, bright yellow flowers March to May. Jasminum mesnyi needs a sunny sheltered wall where it will remain evergreen. In truth this is like J. nudiflorum more of a scandent shrub than a true climber, but it is excellent on a wall, being both more reliable to flower and more profuse a display (min -4c) I have seen this growing in an exposed spot on the coast indicating both wind and salt tolerance. Introduced by E.H Wilson from South West China in 1900. |
