Lonicera etrusca 'Donald Waterer'This vigorous semi-evergreen climber has downy stems and leaves which enables it to cope with heat better than other Honeysuckles. This form of the species was found by its namesake in the French Pyrenees, its more upright in habit and much redder in colour than others forms of this excellent species. The flowers appear at the shoot ends and shoot side shoots off them, they are Deep pink to red and cream white they are highly fragrant and start usually in July and continue to September. Needs sun to flower well and can be shy to flower. |
