Pandorea pandorana 'Golden Showers' (syn 'Golden Rain')

Pandorea pandorana is commonly grown in Cornwall outdoors (requires a warm wall min -3c) despite its Australian origins but because this golden yellow flowered form flowers so early, typically March and April I prefer mine indoors where I can enjoy the show (The rain tends to knock the flowers off) It makes a very showy conservatory climber. It is a vigorous evergreen but prone to shedding its leaves in mid summer. Pandorea pandorana 'Golden Showers' was found at a botanic garden in Australia and originally sold in this country until recently as 'Golden Rain'
