Schizophragma integrifolia

This is a truly aristocratic relative of the Hydrangeas, it is a large, deciduous, self clinging climber. the flower heads are white about 30cm across and appear in June and July the bracts around the edge can get to 6-9cm. Hardy, this lovely climber will grow to around 11M
It comes from central China and seems to have been introduced to UK gardens around 1901 by E H Wilson
