A dwarf suckering evergreen shrub with small glossy leaves and red flowers in late spring / summer through into autumn, related to Lapageria it is slow growing and we dont often have it for sale but if you have a mildish wet garden on acid soil it is a choice thing. Introduced by William Lobb in 1847 from Chile
